This kitchen was a total overhaul including new wood flooring to match the adjacent rooms, removal of two half height walls and a new window over the kitchen. I provided architectural drawings for the contractor and specified the window size and installation details.Â

We selected materials on a series of video calls since the whole job, with the exception of the initial site visit, was done remotely.
I love a good before and after and this pair of images shows how important a good kitchen layout is. The homeowner and I worked with a kitchen cabinetry company to make sure her new layout was conducive to the large parties she was hoping to host. With all her kids grown and out of the house, we were able to make the bold move to not have a backsplash which gives this kitchen the open, modern feeling she loved from the start.
